Bombardier Pushes Back Against Trump’s Threat to Ban Aircraft Sales

Canadian plane maker Bombardier replied to US President Donald Trump’s threat to ban its aircraft sales, stating that it already builds major components in the US, employs 3,500 American workers, and spends $2.5 billion annually with US suppliers. Despite Trump’s claims that the company relies on American markets without contributing locally, US lawmakers and labor unions defended Bombardier’s strong economic role in the country as trade tensions between the US and Canada continue to rise.
